First Choice has been a great resource since covid first reared its ugly head. There is a separate entrance and examination room for sick patients. The well side is good for vaccines and non-contagious ailments. The sick side doesn't require appointments and has a process in place to quickly address the patient's need and test for covid if necessary.

Requested a specific PA. They gave me someone else she has no clue. They took a $30 copay should be $25 then billed me $29.00 violating the agreement with my HC carrier. If you get a bill check with your insurance first before paying chances are you may not owe ANYTHINGG. I have a new Dr. He is Fantastic. My partner went to my Dr and he agrees. He just canceled his appointment with First Choice.

I may have been here 10 times in the last 10 years, and I’ve had 2 not so great experiences. I had no insurance the last 2 times I came here, but was ready to pay out of pocket with no problems. The young girl at the front desk had such an attitude. Literally was exasperated at the fact that she had to get up and go verify some info with someone in the back. This made me feel like I was bothering her or something, meanwhile I’m the one with a swollen lymph node, can barely talk, but ready to dish out $500 for my check up and prescription. If I was feeling up to it, I would have definitely given her some customer service advice, I probably would have been labeled an “angry black woman” at that point smh. Second time I was told one price and then I pay it and I receive a bill in the mail that doubles that. No lab tests or anything, I just needed a shot for a job in the medical field smh. The staff in the back are for the most part, great. Front desk needs to be a little more educated and informative about their services, and better customer service to your patients insurance or no insurance.

When you have an appointment (scheduled), you still wait anywhere from 30 minutes up to 3 hours (typically an hour and a half most times, never ON TIME). Also, when you call like I just did today, and they leave you on hold for 25 minutes until they close and you can't call back (because the answering machine picks up), it is disheartening. It has happened to me multiple times. Almost a dozen every year (been a patient for 8 years now). I am searching for a new primary doctor as we speak. Also, there have been lots of other patients as I'm there waiting who feel the same way but won't say anything. It's sad. They used to be really good. 😔 One last thing, only some of the staff are professional, others not so much. You'll get an attitude from them, and you'll hear the tone in their voice and get some sighing.
